Simon has also done a few live streaming performances for members of the site. All of these sessions are archived and available for members to watch back later. This is a great way to help get used to playing in front of others and you get feedback from Simon. Members can sign up to perform a piece and everyone joins a video chat session and performs live for the group. The one feature that really sets the site apart for me is the live playing sessions that Simon hosts 1-2 times per month.

This can be a pro or a con depending on how you look at it. While Delcamp may have 500 users online at any given time, CGC may have a few dozen. This is mostly due to the smaller size of the community. I have been a Delcamp member for a long time and have learned a tremendous amount from the site, but the CGC community has a different feel that I personally think is more inviting to beginners. That leads to the part of the site that I think makes it all worth signing up. This requires you to post video of specific lessons onto the forum and they are reviewed by Simon. If you choose, you can get a certificate for each course level upon completion. For the higher difficulty level pieces, there are some good in-depth videos and analysis done by Simon as well as a few guest guitarists. He also has some very nice practice routines and a decent selection of pieces for each difficulty level. Level 4 courses for intermediate/advanced are currently in the works. The courses he put together are very well organized and cover topics from beginner up to an intermediate level. Simon is an excellent teacher and puts a lot of work into this website. I have been a member of CGC since February and I think it's worth the price of a yearly membership.
